- Shopper finally buys the product and in return merchant rewards the affiliate for his effort.

The first one selling price is $100 and your commission says 10%.Second product selling price is also $100 and your commission is only 2%.
Number of first product sold =10
Commission made =$10 * 10=$100 (10 % commission of $100=$10)
Number of second product sold=100
Commission made=$2*100=$200(2 % commission of $10=$2)
So total earning is dependent on a number of items sold and percentage of commission per item.
